A Mighty Heart Review

A mighty heart is movie based on true story of Daniel Pearl who is Wall street journal reporter.This movie stars Angelina Jolie as Mariane Pearl wife of Daniel Pearl.Daniel Pearl comes to Pakistan along with his pregnant wife Mariane to take interview with Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani.But he does not know what is in store for him there.He thinks he is going to take interview with Gilani but the same day he disappears.So Mariane is worried about him and she is helped by CID chief Javed Habib and Diplomatic Security Service.At last it is discovered that Daniel is kidnapped by militant group named The National Movement for the Restoration of Pakistani Sovereignty.These fellows have no heart they just kidnapped Daniel since he was an American and to threaten America to accept their demands.But their demands are awful and so America refuses to carry out their demands.So they slit Daniel's throat and kill him cruelly and send that video.Angelina Jolie as Mariane Pearl has done very well.She showed perfect emotions.Though this movie is not great to watch we can know the suffering of journalist Daniel and his wife.The death of Daniel Pearl is very shocking.Why these Islamic terrorists behave like this and kill innocent people.

Asoka review

This movie is about the story of greatest Indian emperor Asoka.This movie stars Sharukh khan as Asoka,Kareena kapoor as Kaurwaki and Hrishita Bhatt as Devi.King Bindusara of Magadha sends prince Asoka on exile.There Asoka meets princess Kaurwaki and falls in love with her.But Asoka is called back to Magadha.King Bindusara send Asoka to defeat a rebellion in Ujjain.Asoka is wounded by soldiers send by his brother Susima (Ajith Kumar).Asoka is brought to health by Devi a Buddhist girl.Asoka is forced to marry Devi in unusual circumstances.After few days Devi is pregnant.Susima comes to know of this and plots to kill Devi and her child,But Asoka's mother is killed.Asoka becomes enraged and kills all his brothers and Susima.Asoka becomes the king.He starts killing all his enemies and he comes to be known as Chanda Asoka,Asoka plans to conquer Kalinga as he knows that one of his brothers is hiding there and he also wants to make Kalinga a part of Magadha.In this movie Asoka reunites with his love princess Kaurwaki after Kalinga war and asks for forgiveness for attacking Kalinga.Asoka wins the war but he is very sad about the damage done by war and then he realizes that winning war is not real victory and he embraces Buddhism and follows non violence.

This movie is very nice.The direction and screenplay by Santosh Sivan are very good.The music composed by Anu Malik is excellent.Songs are melodious.This movie contains all elements like romance,action,sentiment etc.Sharukh has done excellent acting as King Asoka.The battle scenes in the movie are very nice and realistic.This is one of my favorite movies.
